# How to Cancel Your ReelShort Subscription

Cancel ReelShort where you pay: Apple, Google Play or ReelShort directly. Exact steps, the billing cutoff, and why deleting the app won't stop charges.

Edited by [Troy](/about) · Published October 14, 2026

Short answer

Cancel ReelShort where you paid. On iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, ReelShort, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play, Subscriptions, ReelShort, Cancel subscription. For a direct ReelShort purchase, log into the app, open the VIP page and follow Subscription Management. Do it at least a day before the billing date. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.

## Find out who bills you first

[ReelShort](/apps/reelshort) can bill you through Apple, through Google Play, or directly through ReelShort in the app or on the web. Each of these is a separate subscription, and cancelling one leaves the others running. Reviewers report the same split and advise saving the transaction ID, renewal date and cancellation confirmation for whichever subscription you have.

- **Check the merchant name.** On the App Store the developer is NewLeaf Publishing, and Google Play lists New Leaf Publishing, Inc., of Dover, DE. ReelShort's Terms name Crazy Maple Studio as the company taking subscription payments.
- **No Apple receipt?** Apple says you may have bought from another company. Check your bank statement and contact whoever bills you.
- **Not in Google Play?** Google Play says the subscription may be on a different Google account. Google's help community adds that you should check each account, including work or family accounts with your payment details. Many apps also bill directly rather than through Google.

Users report that direct billing is the route that catches people out:

- One user bought as a guest on the web after an Instagram ad and saw the charge as "reelshortsw", separate from the app.
- Another paid $15.99 for a Standard Weekly VIP with Apple Pay and found it missing from Apple subscriptions, because ReelShort processed the payment directly.
- A Play Store reviewer says billing moved to a website after the first Google Play payment, which left no cancel option in Google Play.

## Cancel on iPhone or iPad

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap **Subscriptions**.
4. Tap **ReelShort**.
5. Tap **Cancel Subscription**. You may need to scroll to reach it.

Apple says that if there's no Cancel button, or you see a red expiration message, the subscription is already canceled.

The ReelShort App Store listing gives an older path to the same screen: Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > Subscriptions > ReelShort. The listing says to cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date, because the subscription charges within 24 hours before each period. Payment comes from your App Store account.

## Cancel on a Mac

1. Open the **App Store**.
2. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
3. Click your name again.
4. Click **Subscriptions**.
5. Select **ReelShort**.
6. Click **Cancel Subscription**.

## Cancel on Android

1. Open the **Google Play Store** app.
2. Go to **Subscriptions**.
3. Select **ReelShort**.
4. Tap **Cancel subscription**.
5. Follow the instructions to confirm.

After you cancel, you keep access for the time you have already paid for. Google Play may place an authorization hold up to 48 hours before the next renewal period, so cancel earlier than the night before. Google's help community says Google can't cancel a subscription on your behalf.

## Cancel a direct ReelShort subscription

ReelShort's Terms of Use, last updated October 20th, 2025, give this route:

1. Open the **ReelShort** app.
2. Log into the account that holds the subscription.
3. Go to the **VIP** page. One user reports reaching it through **Profile**, then **VIP membership**.
4. Follow the **Subscription Management** instructions.

This route often fails for guest purchases made on the web. Users report these problems:

- A guest purchase made in Safari with only a UID showed no VIP banner and no unsubscribe option.
- ReelShort's website showed one user an active Standard Weekly VIP subscription with no obvious cancel button.

Reviewers report that for a website purchase by card or PayPal, you cancel on that site's account or billing page, since the site's own payment processor bills you. Where no cancel option exists, contact support. The Terms say to email <reelshort.support@crazymaplestudio.com> as soon as possible if you think you were charged in error.

Deleting your ReelShort account does not cancel the subscription either. One user says weekly charges of 19.51 continued after they deleted their account. The Find Linked Accounts feature showed the deleted account was still tied to a Weekly VIP subscription.

## Timing and what happens next

Submit the cancellation on or before the day before your billing date. ReelShort's Terms say that cancelling on the billing date itself means you are charged up to the next billing date. Once your cancellation goes through, it takes effect immediately and you won't be charged for future billing periods, per the Terms.

On a direct subscription, "immediately" can mean losing access straight away. One guest subscriber says cancelling cut off content they had paid for through September 20. Google Play subscribers keep access for the time they have paid for.

Missing the cutoff costs you a week. The App Store listing describes a 7-day subscription billed weekly, with the price varying by region. At this review, reviewers report the following prices:

- Apple's US listing, checked 19 August 2026, showed a $19.99 subscription and coin purchases from $4.99 to $29.99.
- Reporting from October 2025 put unlimited access at $19.99 a week, alongside a $200-per-year subscription and coin packages for unlocking episodes.

ReelShort also sends a renewal reminder email once every six months from your subscription start date.

## Refunds are a separate request

Cancelling stops renewal and refunds nothing. Reviewers report that a refund is a separate request.

- ReelShort's Terms call subscription payments to Crazy Maple Studio final and non-refundable, except where the Terms specify.
- Google Play says past subscriptions can't be refunded, with some exceptions.

Users report mixed results with support. One received a canned reply saying ReelShort doesn't give refunds. Another says the cancel steps didn't work and the support email went unanswered. On one complaints site, ReelShort sits at 1.5 stars from 276 reviews, with billing and subscriptions as the common complaint, and reviewers there report no reliable phone support.

If you were charged in error, email support as soon as possible, as the Terms ask. Include the transaction ID and renewal date in the email.

FAQ

## Questions people ask

### Does deleting the ReelShort app cancel my subscription?

No. Google Play says uninstalling an app won't cancel its subscription, and reviewers report the same for deleting your ReelShort account. One user says weekly charges continued after the account was deleted, because it was still tied to a Weekly VIP subscription.

### Why can't I find ReelShort in my subscriptions?

You are probably billed somewhere else. Apple says a missing Apple receipt can mean another company billed you. Google Play says the subscription may be on a different Google account. Users report that web and guest purchases are billed directly by ReelShort and never appear in Apple or Google Play.

### When do I have to cancel to avoid the next charge?

On or before the day before your billing date, per ReelShort's Terms. Cancelling on the billing date means you pay up to the next one. Apple's listing says to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, and Google Play may place an authorization hold up to 48 hours before renewal.

### Can I get a refund after cancelling ReelShort?

Rarely. ReelShort's Terms call subscription payments final and non-refundable except where the Terms specify, and Google Play says past subscriptions can't be refunded, with some exceptions. Cancelling only stops renewal, so a refund has to be requested separately.

### Is there a ReelShort phone number to cancel?

Not in the Terms, which name an email instead: reelshort.support\@crazymaplestudio.com, for charges you think were made in error. Reviewers report there is no reliable phone support.
